If you want to make it through bath time with your sanity intact, you need to be prepared with the best of the best bath toys. Here is our must have list:

Toy Storage

Now that you have all the right toys, you’re gonna need a way to store them – we’ve tried a few and our favorite is the Munchkin Suction Storage Bag (we have two). It suctions to the wall and you can remove the mesh bag to scoop up toys. It’s a winner, for sure.

Our family has sensitive skin, so we’re always on the lookout for products that are gentle and effective. Tubby Todd and Cerave Baby are our go-tos for body wash and they’ve been a lifesaver when it comes to keeping our kids’ skin hydrated and eczema-free. For my daughter’s curly hair, we love Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner. It’s super moisturizing and helps to keep her hair looking neat and tidy (a small miracle, considering she’s a toddler). And don’t forget the super soft bamboo wash cloths!

After Bath Products

For toddlers with eczema, the post-bath routine is actually more important than the bath itself – it’s so important to use a moisturizer immediately after bathing. We’re obsessed with Tubby Todd’s All Over Ointment. It’s thick and creamy, without being greasy, and it absorbs quickly into the skin. Plus, it contains all-natural ingredients. We also use Aquaphor (messy but necessary). And for stubborn flare ups, we use cortisone (ask a pediatrician first!) . The ONLY brush I will use to brush my 3yo daughter’s hair is the Wet Brush (if brushing your child’s hair is a form of torture for you — you’re welcome).

Baby Bath

I used to think all baby baths were created equal. My first child loved her sink bath and then loved her toddler bath and then loved the real bath…. then my son came along. The spicy one. We had to scrap the sink bath all together and move to the Primo Eurobath – the only thing that even came close to working. Once he was in a real bath, the bath seat saved our life. If you don’t have a bath tub in your home, you NEED the Stokke Portable bath. Depending on your little one’s comfort level – finding the right bath can be a bit of trial and error.
